Recently, sources suggest that the anime adaption of the famous mobile gacha game Arknights will be officially released in October. The sample of the anime was submitted to the National Radio and Television Administration for audit in February since China’s laws on audiovisual products ask anime must have its content audited before it can launch.

Prelude to Dawn was originally announced in November 2021, with more details given during the Arknights’ Japanese 2nd-anniversary live stream in January 2022. The first season will have eight episodes, adapted from the main story campaign of Arknights.
