Leiting Games announced on July 22 that they would show players’ locations based on their IP addresses in some of their games, as the law and regulations required. Recently, players of World Flipper and Aobi Island have found that their locations were added to the Personal Information pages in games. Some are discontent and worry about privacy issues.

According to the announcement by Leiting Games, the aim is to prevent online fraud and the spread of rumors. The team also explained that the locations would be the provinces for players in China and countries for players outside China and that their locations would be displayed automatically, which means players cannot conceal them even if they are unwilling to have locations shown.
