Sega Corporation announced its financial results for the first quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal year. Total revenue for the quarter was 66.118 billion JPY (492.02 million USD), up 15.6% year-over-year, while the net profit has seen a sharp decrease to 2.777 billion JPY20.663 million USD, down 27.8% compared to the same period last year.

The new works for sale this quarter are mainly a mix of ported games, so sales have declined compared to the previous fiscal year. These include the Switch version of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix on PC, etc. Other older titles sold a total of 4.7 million copies, with total game software sales of 5.14 million copies (down from 6.58 million copies sold in the same period last fiscal year).

Sega also stated that there would be more ported versions of games like Sonic Frontier, Soul Hacker 2, the Persona series and a number of new works launched.
