The LDL has banned 28 players from League of Legends local and global competitions for their match-fixing and betting behavior, the league announced on August 7th. The ban list includes renowned names in the community; the former FPX Academy’s ADC Jingyi and former LNG’s ADC Asura, causing deep frustration among fans.
The league also revoked the qualifications of Team Orange and TWELVE in the LDL. The results and points obtained by the two teams in the LDL Summer Split will be erased and will not be included in the rankings.
Previously, Team Orange and TWELVE were being investigated for the “abnormalities” in a match on July 10th. Following that, the LDL also made some random checks on the fairness of competition.
