Revenue of Harry Potter-Adapted Mobile Games Has Exceeded 1 Billion Dollars

Revenue of mobile games adapted from the Harry Potter series has surpassed 1 billion USD, according to Sensor Tower's data.

Among them, the highest-grossing one is Jam City's Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, which has earned a total of 400 million USD since its launch in April 2018; second place goes to NetEase's Harry Potter: Magic Awakened with 358 million USD.  Zynga's Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells came in third with over 218 million USD, while Niantic's A.R. mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite came in fourth with 39.6 million USD.

The U.S. was the most prominent Harry Potter mobile games market, with 374.8 million USD in revenue, accounting for 36.6% of the total market share. China comes second with 324.3 million USD in revenue on App Store alone, and Germany is third with 51.6 million USD in revenue, accounting for 5% of the gobal market.

App Store was way ahead of Google Play's 342.5 million USD with 683 million USD in terms of platforms. Excluding China, App Store and Google Play were close, accounting for 51% and 49%, respectively. Regarding downloads, the U.S. ranked first with 31.8 million total installs, accounting for about 20% of the total downloads, and China and Brazil ranked second and third, respectively.
