Just now, the Chinese indie game developer Thinking Stars announced that their pixel art action game ANNO: Mutationem will be available on PS4/5 and Steam on March 17.
ANNO: Mutationem is an action-adventure game set in a cyberpunk world. Players will play as Ann, a skilled fighter who has been experimentally modified, to search for her missing brother and reveal the secrets behind his disappearance. The game has drawn inspiration from classic works, including Ghost In The Shell, to create a lively cyberpunk city with robo-geishas, holograms and neon signs. Players can switch freely between 2D and 3D views when exploring this colorful night city. The game contains many RPG elements; players can upgrade their abilities to deal with different kinds of enemies and NPCs.
The game also includes a dress-up system, part-time bartending, fishing and other casual elements so that players can enjoy the well-designed environment in this cyberpunk city while pushing through the main quests.
ANNO: Mutationem was originally planned to be released in December 2020. It was then delayed to the third quarter of 2021 due to the development of the PS5 version.
