Blizzard stated on November 16 that it would suspend most of Blizzard's game services in China on January 23, 2023, after a fallout with its partner NetEase and couldn't reach a contract extension. Millions of Chinese players would lose access to games such as World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch.
