Chinese game enterprise 37Games disclosed its earnings forecast for 2021 on February 22.
The company expects that the net profit attributable to the shareholders in 2021 will be 2.8-2.85 billion CNY (~440 million USD), an increase of 1.41%-3.23% over the same period of the previous year.
37Games' net profit in the fourth quarter of 2021 will reach 1.08-1.13 billion CNY (~170 million USD), a year-on-year increase of 116%-126%, creating a new record for single-quarter profits.
37Games' star game Soul Land: Master Duel
The performance growth in the fourth quarter, which quite exceeded market expectations, was attributable to the profit increase of 37Games’ domestic mobile game Soul Land: Master Duel, published in July 2021. The game was based on a popular Chinese novel and soon gained appreciation in the domestic market, ranking 9th to 18th from October to December last year on the Chinese IOS Game Bestseller List.
In addition, the excellent performance of Puzzles & Survival aimed at European and American markets in the Christmas holidays also contributed to the profit increase.
