5 Cheekiest Domain Tricks You Can Use in Genshin Impact’s Divine Ingenuity Event

On March 2nd Genshin Impact launched its new event Divine Ingenuity, a Super Mario Maker style mode where players must reach the destination of a preset domain within a time limit and collect as many Adventure Coins as they can along the way. By completing the challenge, players can obtain rewards such as Primogems, Hero's Wit, Sanctifying Unction, Talent Level-Up Materials, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Mora.

Players can also design their own domains with the  map editor and share them for other players to try out. The more interesting your design is, the more likely you are going to get likes from other players and increase your domain’s rank. Of course, you must complete the domain yourself before uploading it.

We love this game mode so far and have found five tricks you can use in your designs that we think are cheeky and hilarious for you to include in your domain, for better or worse.

1. Combining Hydro & Cryo

Being Frozen is seriously bad in Genshin Impact, and this debuff works great on player characters too. When designing the domain, combine the elemental effects wisely, try putting some hydro platforms in the players’ path, and then cryo platforms on the correct path. If unlucky players step into your trap, they will be Frozen in place for quite a few embarrassing seconds.

2. Combine Anemo & Hydro

In this mode, the combination of air currents and floating water bubbles are a perfect match. You only need to add a few confusing air currents in the course, and the water bubbles will become extremely difficult to dodge. Once a water bubble hits, players will be trapped for a few seconds and fall from the air current, which will delay them considerably.

3. Combining Thunderstruck Paving with Large Earth Spikes

The Thunderstruck Paving/Platforms will periodically release a shock wave on the ground. Even though it can be dodged by simply jumping, timing the jump will be significantly more difficult when there's a big spike trap in the middle of it. By adjusting the number of spike traps, you can make your course almost impossible to clear. A single spike trap can also surprise players when their camera angle is blocked if placed at the right corner.

4. Disappearing platforms

Disappearing platforms will periodically appear or disappear, and if you do not adjust the timing of the jump is easy to fall from the platform. If you place some traps under the platform, it’s enough to drive other players crazy.

5. Unexpected destinations

The map editor also allows players to place the final destination freely, so you can think backwards and place the destination in a location that no one would expect, such as directly behind the starting point, just like in the movie Ready Player One.
