Activision Blizzard, the multinational video game holding company, recently released its financial report for the fourth quarter of 2022. The report showed that the company had a net revenue of 2.334 billion USD in the fourth quarter, compared to 2.163 billion USD in the same period the previous year. Additionally, the company's net bookings revenue reached 3.57 billion USD, up from 2.49 billion USD in the same period last year.
Despite the increase in net revenue, the company's net income for the fourth quarter was only 403 million USD, down 29% from 564 million USD in the same period the previous year. As of December 31, 2022, Activision Blizzard's net bookings reached 8.51 billion USD, compared to 8.35 billion USD in 2021. The net bookings within the company's games reached 538 million USD, compared to 510 million USD in 2021.
The report also showed that the company's overall monthly active user count reached 389 million in the fourth quarter, compared to 371 million in the same period the previous year.
In conclusion, despite a drop in net income, Activision Blizzard showed overall growth in its net revenue and net bookings, as well as an increase in its monthly active user count.
