According to multiple Chinese media outlets, Lian Jie, the former Co-CEO of game company Perfect World and chairman at Perfect World Pictures, passed away at age 48 yesterday evening in the United States due to physical reasons.
Before this, Perfect World released an announcement yesterday that the company received a resignation letter from Lian for his role as Co-CEO.
Lian spent the early years of his career at Goldman Sachs and had taken charge of the production of the TV series The Legend of the Condor Heroes, Ashes of Love, The Legendary Tavern, and so on.
