On March 29, NetEase's MMORPG Ni Shui Han opened a social media giveaway on its Weibo. Anyone who repost will have a chance to win a house in Hegang, China. The winner can also choose to have $7,850 if they don’t want the house.

Ni Shui Han recently launched a new DLC of the game that allows players to have houses and gardens they can freely customize. Players can also work with others to renovate and customize a large public manor. Ni Shui Han officials stated that many players can't buy a house and decorate their homes as they do in-game because of their economic conditions. So they want to use this giveaway to let players get the same happiness they have in the game.

The house offered by Ni Shui Han is located in the city of Hegang, which has been called the wetland city of China. This is currently one of the cities with the cheapest house price in China, and in 2021 there was hype in China about buying low-priced houses in Hegang for retirement. Ni Shui Han officials caught the buzz on this topic, which explains why the winner will only get $7,850 if he doesn't choose the house.
