Krafton and NetEase have decided to set to appear in court in San Mateo, California this week over an ongoing copyright dispute relating to the games Knives Out and Rules of Survival.

The legal battle began in April 2018 over alleged copyright infringement of PUBG. The two firms reached a settlement and confidentiality agreement in March 2019, but Krafton claims that NetEase breached the terms of the agreement in October 2019. Krafton argues that there were multiple breaches of the settlement agreement, but a San Francisco Superior Court Judge suggested that the disagreement was over unclear wording between the two companies.
