The National News Publication Bureau of China issued a new batch of game license numbers on April 11, and 45 games are approved for publication.

The last time China issued a game license was in July 2021, 8 months ago. However, according to a survey done by QiChaCha and TianYancha, during these 8 months, at least 5 developers or publishers of these 45 games were already out of business, either no longer having registration information, or had their websites repurposed.

For example, the developer MoYanLuanDou's website has been rebranded as a 3D asset market, and another developer’s website is now selling skincare products.

While hundreds of games are still desperately waiting for their publishing numbers, some approved games will never meet their launch dates because no one will be working on them.
