A creative modder for Baldur's Gate 3 has taken inspiration from the item description on Gale's underwear, turning the suggestion that the wizard enchanted his drawers into reality.
The mod, named "Gale's Magic Underpants - Meteor Swarm," grants the wearer access to one of Dungeons & Dragons' most devastating spells: Meteor Swarm. Although not available in Baldur's Gate 3, this level nine Evocation Spell, which can do 40-240 damage and hit three targets, was crafted by modder antichamp by weaving together existing spells.

The power of Meteor Swarm is enough to instantly eliminate most early-game enemies. When used against the three ogres in the Blighted Village, the explosion essentially leveled the entire structure.
Inspired by the description "energy crackles around these" on Gale's Netherese Briefs, antichamp implemented this enchantment, though the choice of spell and its effects on the wearer remain mysterious.
Given Gale's passion for magic and his attraction to seemingly unattainable ladies, it fits his character to enchant underwear with such a high-level spell. The intrigue of this spell, ready to unleash at any moment, fits his quirky personality. One can only wonder about the comfort level, given the spark-emitting nature of this enchanted garment. But Gale's willingness to suffer for his cause is well-established.
While "Gale's Magic Underpants - Meteor Swarm" may not rank among the top Baldur's Gate 3 mods, it certainly is one of the most imaginative and fiery. This unexpected weaponization of undergarments offers a novel way to send foes into oblivion, and it's safe to say that no one in the game will see it coming.
