Genshin Impact Topped The Revenue In last Year’s Anime Mobile Game Market

Data.ai released its latest statistical report, saying that global consumer spending on anime mobile games accumulates to $17 billion in 2021, which represents a 6% year-over-year increase compared to 2020. The statistic does not take into account gameplay distinctions, but only considers games with anime and manga art styles.

The report notes that while anime games are a niche market, one out of every five dollars spent by users on mobile games in both Apple and Google app stores is for anime games. In terms of global market share, the Japanese market accounted for 55% of the spending on anime games last year.
