The augmented reality (AR) mobile game "Monster Hunter Now" has dropped its promotional trailer, revealing its scheduled release date on iOS and Android platforms for September 14. Integrating AR gameplay, the game will allow players to simulate monster hunts in real-world settings.

The music for the trailer is a re-arrangement of the 1994 TRF track "survival dAnce," which has been generally well-received for its quality production.

However, the trailer has sparked some debate. The players featured in it are shown to be excessively joyful, sporting somewhat exaggerated smiles throughout. This portrayal has led to a bit of controversy, with some gamers feeling it makes the monsters look "somewhat pitiful," and contrasts sharply with the hardcore vibe that "Monster Hunter" games usually offer.
