Chinese Mobile Game Publishers Dominate Global Revenue Rankings in October 2023

October 2023 saw a remarkable performance from Chinese mobile game publishers, with 37 companies ranking in the global top 100 and amassing revenues of 1.91 billion USD. This accounted for 38.7% of the total earnings of top mobile game publishers worldwide, as per Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence platform. The analysis focused on publisher revenues, excluding third-party Android channels in China.

NetEase's "Eggy Party" made a notable impact in Southeast Asia, contributing to a significant user increase and a 47% revenue surge, which catapulted it back into the top ten of China's iOS best-selling games list.

HoYoverse continued its strong performance with mobile revenues in October rising by 10%, spurred by updates to "Honkai: Star Rail" and "Genshin Impact," marking its second-best month of 2023 and maintaining its top three global rankings.

Hortor Games celebrated the second anniversary of its card game "Fish Kingdoms: Idle Game" with a 129% revenue spike, driven by anniversary events, which also saw its ranking soar nine places to 18th globally.

"Whiteout Survival" by Diandian Interactive recorded a 5% revenue growth, reaching a new high and climbing to fourth place, while Micro Fun's "Gossip Harbor" also saw an 8% increase, indicating steady growth in the merge games category.

Goat Games' release of "Dungeon Hunter 6" doubled its September revenue, entering the top 100 at the 90th position. "Honor of Kings" and "Conqueror's Blade" also saw significant revenue upticks with various in-game events, showcasing the strength of Chinese publishers in the global mobile gaming market.
