Online Games Pivoting Sohu’s Q1 Revenue, Despite a Decline of Older Games

In the first quarter ended March 31, 2022. Sohu’s online game revenues were 158 million USD, accounting for 82% of the total revenues.

But it marks an 11% year-over-year revenue drop, mainly due to the natural decline of TLBB Vintage.

There was also some information about ChangYou. Its subsidiary for PC and mobile games. For PC games, the total average monthly active user accounts (MAU) were 2.0 million, a decrease of 13% year-over-year.

For mobile games, the total average MAU was 2.4 million, increasing 16% year-over-year. The increase was mainly from Bright Stars, a game designed for female players launched during the quarter, and Little Raccoon: Heroes, the latter was launched during the third quarter of 2021.
