Top 10 Global Revenue Ranking of Popular Mobile Games in May, 2022

Sensor Tower data statistics show that Tencent's Honor of Kings drew 268 million dollars in the global App Store and Google Play in May 2022, reigning as the top-selling global mobile game, up 1.7% compared to the same period last year. Revenue from China's iOS market accounted for 95%, while overseas markets accounted for 5% of revenue. Tencent's PUBG Mobile (combined with Game For Peace revenue) ranked No. 2 on the list with 206 million dollars in revenue. Among this, 67% of the revenue came from its Chinese iOS version, Game For Peace, and 6.4% of revenue came from the Turkish market.

The other three games in the top five of the list were King’s   Candy Crush Saga, Genshin Impact from HoYoverse and Moon Active’s Coin Master.

In May 2022, global mobile game players spent 6.8 billion dollars on the App Store and Google Play, down 8 percent year-over-year. The U.S. remains the highest-grossing market for mobile games worldwide, contributing 1.9 billion dollars, or 28% of total global revenue. China's iOS market ranked No. 2, accounting for 20.4%, and Japan's market ranked No. 3, accounting for 17.8%.
