Among the recently announced 74th Emmy Award nominations, the Riot Games and Fortiche Production co-produced TV show Arcane got nominated in two categories: Outstanding Animated Program and Outstanding Sound Editing For A Comedy Or Drama Series, competing against other hit shows like Rick And Morty, the Simpsons, What if...?, Love Death + Robots.

Based on the League of Legends universe, Arcane reveals the background story of two sisters, Vi and Jinx, and explains how they survive under the shadow of the upcoming war between Piltover and Zaun. Showing the first reunion after the sisters split up, episode six When These Walls Come Tumbling Down is the highlight of the whole series, which also helps Arcane get the Emmy nominations.

Earlier this year, Arcane became the biggest winner of the 49th Annual Annie Awards, getting awards from all of its nine nominations. Referring to the Emmy nominations, the co-creator and exec producer, Christian Linke told Deadline that the Arcane team was shocked, “It’s hard to put into words what it means to be nominated alongside such a fantastic group of creators and projects”.
