A Weibo user shared his experience of applying for the Bilibili documentary group a year ago, causing wide discussion recently. The blogger described the experience as funny but annoying at the same time.

During the interview, HR defined the core users of Bilibili as “losers in their lives”. Though praising the blogger’s high-quality works possess humane care, the HR said that his documentaries might not meet the users’ needs, since they didn’t have humane care. He finally turned down the job even if he had got the offer.

After the event was exposed, the Bilibili documentary group soon messaged the blogger and claimed they would investigate. Today, Bilibili responds to The Paper, “we are very angry about the HR’s remarks. After investigation, we find that the employer has been persuaded to resign last year. We will learn the lesson and improve our management in the future.”

However, it is not the first time for Bilibili’s staff in the human resources department to discriminate against others. Last year in April, the pre-graduates from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications criticized the HR team of Bilibili for being arrogant. The team said students from the university mentioned above were too shallow and ignorant and they didn't deserve offers from Bilibili.

At the end of the event, the blogger announces that he won’t leave any comments in the future, “from the communications with Bilibili and Weibo, and from other bloggers’ comments, we know what happened to me is not an individual case for Bilibili. It won’t be better even if we criticize a specific person.”
