Four years after Sony's PlayStation-exclusive hit Marvel's Spider-Man was released, Peter Parker has finally swung his spider web onto the PC platform. And this remastered version with an unlocked frame rate, new ray tracing, PC customized graphic optimization options, and all three DLCs, can be seen as a true perfect collector's edition in many ways.

The most significant change of the PC version is that there are a lot more graphics options available now. Instead of only offering a 30 fps ray tracing graphic mode and a 60 fps performance mode on the PS5, the PC version unlocked the frame rate and multiple customizable graphic quality options.

At a higher frame rate, the game's overall experience is improved significantly and swinging around NYC has been even more fun, leap between the skyscrapers of Manhattan, and enjoy the thrilling speed and height.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered also supports NVIDIA DLSS to improve game performance and DLAA to improve graphics quality. With DLSS enabled, most gaming PCs can enjoy a smooth and stable tour of New York City.

Insomniac Studios has also added the next gen rendering technology from Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales to the remastered game, including a very detailed ray tracing system, also improved the lighting on dark areas and shadows.

The new shadow optimizations are especially obvious in the game's indoor scenes and outdoors during the sunset: the shadows of buildings in Manhattan are intertwined with the sunset, making the whole scene more textured, and the look and feel of indoor scenes such as the museum and the Fisk Tower are also greatly enhanced by the latest lighting technics.

When using graphics cards with ray-tracing (including NVIDIA's 20 and 30 series and AMD's 6000 series), the powerful reflections of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered will present an immersive view of bustling Manhattan. Every piece of glass on the skyscrapers, every LED screen in Times Square, and even the vehicles on the streets will reflect the marvelous handsome figure of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Since the game also has a large number of stories and battles take place at night in busy areas, with the new ray tracing, the playing experience of Marvel Spider-Man Remastered is like watching a gorgeous blooming light show.

A very interesting experience is that the PC platform also supports features for the PS5 DualSense controller, such as haptic feedback and adaptive, which further enhanced the immersion of the game.

During the test, we found out that the DualSense controller will automatically simulate the sound of spider web spraying as Spider-Man uses the web to swing around, and turn on the adaptive trigger with two different stages. The trigger key will be very silky at the first, simulating the climbing stage of Spider-Man pulling on the spider web; and when the spider web brings the player to the highest point of the swing, the trigger will increase the resistance, and the Spider-Man will also release the web to leap in the air at the moment the player presses the trigger down.

DualSense's vibration function is also preserved on the PC platform. When players use execution skills, equipment, throwing objects in the scene, and normal attacks, the controller will generate different vibration patterns to simulate combat scenarios; together with the in-game slow-motion dodging skills, the game's combat becomes very enjoyable. After all, who wouldn't like to use spider webs dragging garbage cans in the street to beat up the bad guys?

Compare to the innovations in graphics, and systems, Marvel Spider-Man Remastered’s stories did not change much.  The game tells the story of Peter Parker who just graduated from college, he’s busy pursuing justice and punishing evil while dealing with his rent, love, and career. Spider-Man's girlfriend MJ and the next Spider-Man Miles Morales have also shown up in the game.

In addition to the Spider-Man part, the game also allows players to play as MJ and Miles Morales who has almost no attack ability to complete some sneaking levels, this has also created more distinctive side characters. It is also with the help of friends, that Spider-Man can stop one after other villains trying to hurt New York City.

The PC version of Marvel Spider-Man Remastered will come with all three DLCs, including the stories of the two popular female characters Black Cat and Silver Sable.

The original version of the game has a highly mature open-world exploration, a simple combat system and a wonderful original storyline. the PC version has strengthened the game's graphics performance and greatly optimize the PC player's comprehensive play experience on top of these shining points, the game that is quite outstanding in the field of superhero open world has become even better, which makes it one of the most anticipated PC games in the second half of this year.
