The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) has confirmed the eight judges for the Game Designers Award for the Japan Game Awards 2022.
The Game Designers Awards are granted to Japanese game developers who are deemed to be the best by evaluation of their creativity and efforts from a professional perspective. This year's awards are for the games that were released from April 1, 2021, through the end of March 2022.

With Masahiro Sakurai being the chief of the committee, the other seven judges are Kazutoshi Iida, Jiro Ishii, Hideki Kamiya, Kazutaka Kodaka, Shu Takumi, Keiichiro Toyama, and Yoko Taro. The award winners will be announced during the main TOKYO GAME SHOW 2022 on September 15 at 16:00 JST.
