On April 18th, Nintendo issued a warning regarding the charging of batteries for the Nintendo Switch.
Just charge it more often
According to Nintendo, if the lithium-ion battery built into the Nintendo Switch is left unused and uncharged for a long period of time, it may become unable to be charged. Nintendo has taken to Twitter to urge users to "charge it at least once every six months."
