UK-based device maker iMica is launching crowdfunding for the Checkmate 19 IPS Retro Monitor, an LCD display for retro consoles and PCs, on Kickstarter. The 19-inch monitor features a 1280x1024 resolution IPS LCD panel with a rich video input interface that supports a wide variety of game consoles and PCs. The monitor is expected to go on sale in September 2023.
The all-in-one display
The Checkmate 19 IPS Retro Monitor will equip Composite, RGB 21pin, and other input ports and supports the 15kHz refresh rate required for PCs and consoles in the CRT era, corresponding to both 50Hz and 60Hz signals. The aspect ratio can be adjusted to 5:4 or 4:3.
