The TV anime Nier: Automata Ver1.1a began airing on January 7 with the opening title "No Credit" on Aniplex's official YouTube channel.

Nier: Automata was originally an action RPG from Square Enix, released in 2017. Yoko Taro, the producer behind the game, and anime director Ryouji Masuyama worked on the script for the anime version. A-1 Pictures is producing the anime, and after the premiere, the related topic #人類に栄光あれ (Glory to Humanity) was trending on Twitter.
