The local court of Cangnan County in Zhejiang Province has made a verdict that three people selling hacking tools for Naraka Bladepoint were each sentenced to three years in jail while two of them were given a probation, with a fine ranging from 15,000 CNY (~2372 USD) to 30,000 CNY (~4744 USD).

This is the first case of such kind, where this popular martial hero battle royale game’s cheat makers were punished by law. The criminals have made large number of profits from selling cheaters.

More specifically, Yuan, one of the three criminals, wrote a hacking program in July last year and sold it to another guy named Gong for 4,000 CNY. Gong then modified these products and marketed them as “Host’s Choice”, using popular eSports names like “Uzi” to attract customers. These modified cheats were then sold for more than 50,000 CNY.

Besides that, Mr. Huang, the third criminal in this case, also collected these cheaters and resold them in the form of cards to online players. His illegal income reached 55,570 CNY.

The official Weibo account has announced the news and said they will make continuous efforts to fight against this kind of illegal behavior.
