According to the initiator of this project, Ktapst, she got the idea of the frame-by-frame animation last July when she first watched Kingsman. Ktapst stated that she was impressed by the church fight in the movie and wanted to recreate this scene by drawing different characters in each frame and eventually make a full video of it. Ktapst firstly started to find people who want to join the project by asking in Chinese art communities. After she released a trailer of the video in October, her team quickly expanded to over one thousand people. As of now, there are about 1600 people have joined Ktapst’s group for the project. The characters and artworks that the complete video contains are even more shocking than the number of creators. According to comments under the video, approximately 500 characters from over a hundred different works are drawn into the Kingsman fight scene. Well-known IPs such as DC, Marvel, Helltaker, Fate/Grand Order, and Resident Evil have all appeared in the video, there are also original characters designed by artists concluded.

Ktapst said she was very satisfied with the final result of the project and she liked this video format that allows everyone to have the opportunity to spread what they love to the world. When asked about whether she’s going to start another frame-by-frame animation project, Ktapst replied that she’s probably not going to make the next one, because the whole process is too complicated.
