Cocos Technologies announced that it recently had received an investment of 50 million USD from CCB Trust, GGV Capital, Agora, and others.
Founded in 2010, the company’s game engine is home to a set of popular Chinese games, including Fishing Master, Anipop, Fantasy Westward Journey, etc.
The proceeds will be used to improve its core technologies and facilitate the usage of the engine in multiple scenarios, which do not only relate to games, but also auto, education, XR, furniture design, and architecture design areas.
Cocos is also one of the main tools for Wechat mini game development and is popular among many indie game developers.
