Tencent's "Honor of Kings" Continues to Top the Global Mobile Gaming Charts in July 2023

According to data from Sensor Tower, Tencent's "Honor of Kings" raked in 220 million USD globally on the App Store and Google Play in July 2023, retaining its champion status on the global best-selling mobile games chart. On July 8, the game released Medea's perfect vacation skin, setting the peak for the month's revenue. With the return of two limited skins, the introduction of new hero Doria, and content updates such as summer benefits, the game not only maintained strong player interest but also further solidified its position as the champion on the best-sellers list.

Tencent's "PUBG Mobile" (including "Peacekeeper Elite" revenue) returned to second place on the list with an income of 172 million USD. Of this, 62.8% of the revenue came from China's iOS market, 8% from the U.S. market, and 3.5% from the Indian market. On July 4, with the introduction of the new vehicle exchange feature, the game topped China's iPhone best-selling chart for four consecutive days. On July 7, the game launched the "Pure Dream Wedding Dress" event and set a peak for the month's revenue. Continuing its successful momentum, on July 14, the game collaborated with SEGA to launch Sonic-themed skins, further boosting revenue.

NetEase's "Justice Online" mobile game ranked third on the list with revenue of 113 million USD. Thanks to outstanding art design and rich game content, this martial arts MMORPG mobile game steadily occupied the top three of China's iPhone best-selling chart during July. Moreover, the game also topped the global mobile game revenue growth chart for July.

The other two games in the top five were Dream Games' "Royal Match" and King's "Candy Crush Saga."

In July 2023, global mobile game players spent 6.56 billion USD on the App Store and Google Play, maintaining the same level year on year. The United States remained the highest revenue-generating market for mobile games, contributing nearly 1.9 billion USD, accounting for 28.7% of global total revenue. China's iOS market ranked second, accounting for 19.7%; the Japanese market ranked third, accounting for 16.4%.
