Tencent ESG Report Shows a 12.4% Turnover Rate and Efforts to Reduce Gaming Time for Minors

In the Environmental Social and Governance Report 2021, Tencent mentioned its efforts to reduce the time that the minors spend on playing games and the 12.4% turnover rate, among other issues.

In detail, as also shown in its financial report, the minors’ gaming time has decreased by 88% year on year in the China domestic market in Q4 of 2021, to 0.9% of the total players’ gaming time. The spending on games by minors dropped by 73% in the China Domestic market year on year, to 1.5% of the total expenditures.

The company stated that in 2021, its turnover rate was 12.4%, a relatively stable level.

The company has also made its efforts to guarantee the rights of employees, as in April, the company released an anti-sexual harassment regulation. The report said that currently, there were 25% of female leaders in the staff composition.
