Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been at the forefront of technological exploration and is increasingly integral in modern game development. Whether it's the simple AI algorithms of 1980s arcade games like "Pac-Man" or more recent developments in machine learning like AlphaGo's victory over world-class Go players, AI has proven its capabilities in decision-making and learning. Nowadays, the combination of AI and gaming is an essential focus for the industry.

In the last year, AI technologies have seen rapid advancements, particularly in generative models. The conversation has shifted from AI-generated art and text to its impact on game mechanics and player experience. New, innovative AI games are hitting the market, such as the wildly popular "With You Til The End," "VPet-Simulator," and Discord-based games like "CreatureCraft" and "HiddenDoor."

To truly understand the capabilities and limitations of AI in creative work, the best method is hands-on experience. This led to the initiation of the GENE | AI-themed Game Jam challenge. The event is co-hosted by GameTrigger and CiGA, and features several key players in the domestic AI research community, including LitGate, an AI game developers community, Tiamat, an AI image generation partner, and various other tech companies. The event aims to explore the possibilities of AI in game development.
