Moonroach, the indie developer of Firework and Sanfu, clarified on Weibo that the casting of Firework’s TV series is not happening yet. He claimed this in response to the latest rumors.
The developer explained, “Generally speaking, after the script of a TV series is finalized, it needs to be submitted to a regulative review. The next step can be taken only after receiving approval, such as casting, shooting, and so on.”

Moonroach said at the current stage, the script has not been completely finalized. Therefore, it is impossible to determine the actors and actresses.
"Otherwise, the recruitment work will be put in vain if the casting is not approved.”
Firework has been warmly received since its release last February.
Moonroach cautioned that if the fans see news saying Firework's casting has been confirmed, they are fake. “Please refer to the latest official news of the adaptation.”
Last September, the developer of Firework announced that Wuyuan Culture would conduct the TV dramatization of the horror puzzle game.
