Arknights developer Hypergryph recently announced that the popular gacha game will be adapted into a TV anime series. On October 24th, the official Twitter account of Arknights staff confirmed the long-standing rumor of anime adaption and released a 47-seconds preview of the anticipated Arknights anime on Youtube. Fans embraced the news with excitement. Within 24 hours, the post had received more than 30 thousand retweets, and the preview reached 500 thousand views.

According to the tweet, the first season of the anime is named ‘Prelude of the Dawn,’ (“黎明前奏“) and it is still in production. The preview did not reveal too much about the details yet. It appeared that in the 47-second video, Amiya and the Doctor were trying to escape from a crumbling structure. In the video, you do not see any of the characters, only hear their voices, leaving the audience with a sense of anticipation for the actual release of the anime.

The anime is being produced by Yostar Pictures, the in-house animation studio of Yostar. They were behind both Blue Archive’s anime adaptation and Arknights’ anime promotion including the 10-minute long 2020 Christmas special ‘Holy Knight Light’. It is possible that more information will be released within the upcoming weeks.
