Bilibili Reported a 16% Year-on-Year Increase in Game Revenues in Q1

Bilibili announced its Q1 financial report yesterday, and the company’s total net revenues were 5.05 billion CNY (~797.3 million USD), representing an increase of 30% from the same period of 2021.

Revenues from game business were 214.2 million USD, representing an increase of 16% year on year. The increase was primarily attributable to the newly launched games.

Despite this, the company saw a net loss of 360.3 million USD in the first quarter, more than 2.5 times over the same period in 2021, when the company saw a net loss of 138.1 million USD.

In the meantime, the average monthly active users increased 31% year-on-year to 294 million. 

Bilibili said that it had received three new game licenses so far, and more games are being approved. At the same time, the company will launch three new high-quality games in overseas markets in the second quarter.
