Inti Creates, the video game developer behind the Mega Man series, announced the launch of its new 2D action game IP, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge. The game will be compatible with PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with an undetermined release date. The demo was available at the Inti Creates booth at BitSummit X-Roads, an indie game event held on August 6 and 7 at the Miyako Messe Exhibition Center in Kyoto.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is a 2D side-scrolling action game in which two high school sisters who are secret "demon hunters” fight to save their school from becoming a demon castle. The older sister Shinobu Kamizono excels at long-range attacks, while the younger sister Mayo Kimizono is a melee master. Players will acquire new weapons and unlock new quests as they defeat the “demon boss” of each stage.
