Steam just announced its best of 2021 list, including Top Sellers, New Releases, Most Played, Early Access Grads, Best Of VR, and Controller Friendly. You can click here to view the complete list.

The Top Sellers List looks at the 100 highest earning games on Steam during 2021. Six games made their debuts in the Platinum category this year, including Naraka: Bladepoint of NetEase, while more than a third of the whole list is comprised of first-time Top Seller appearances. Another two successful Chinese games, Dyson Sphere Program and Tale of Immortal, also won Bronze awards.

The New Releases list contains the Top 25 new games released in 2021 based on the revenue they generated during the first two weeks following their launch. For its strong performance in the launching period, Naraka: Bladepoint gained a Platinum award as one of the top-selling new releases.

Unlike the lists above based on commercial success, the Most Played list showcases games that achieved the highest numbers of players. Naraka reached over 100,000 peak players, while Dyson Sphere Program had over 30,000 peak players, putting both in the top 50 most played games on Steam.

2021 has been a fantastic year for Chinese games launched on Steam. Valve has announced that Chinese game studios’ overseas sales of games have increased 300% in 2021, while Moncage, Bright Memory: Infinite, and Naraka: Bladepoint were nominated in three categories of the 2021 Steam Awards.
