Top laner TheShy (Kang Seung-Rok) left Invictus Gaming (IG) on December 7th last year, and one week later, joined Weibo Gaming (WBG), which was previously known as Suning Gaming.

The 22-year-old South Korean star gamer spent four years with IG, from 2017 to 2021. In 2018, he won the World Championship with the team and gained much reputation from professionals and fans.

This time, his transfer took place amid an internal controversy of WBG. WBG’s top laner Bin and Vietnamese jungler SofM were shown in a recent doc film to have conflicts with each other. To be specific, SofM has frequently criticized Bin’s turnovers in matches. The result was that TheShy replaced Bin as the top laner.

In any sense, the transfer of TheShy will enable WBG to attract more recognition and attention in the LoL arena. Though, WBG will probably see lesser popularity than BLG for the latter’s new contract with Uzi.

Because of contracting Covid-19, TheShy had been absent for almost half of the LPL 2021 Summer Split games. He also failed to join the recent Demacia Cup due to his quarantine.

He has been known for his Aatrox, Jayce, Fiora, Vladimir, and Akali since the 2018 Season World Championship.
