This is not the first article about Adam Smasher (Justice Served! Adam Smasher Smashed by Rebecca), probably the most evil character in the Cyberpunk series.
We probably have a mutual feeling of disgust and/or hatred towards Adam Smasher. However, CDPR offered a different approach.
The Chinese CDPR official account on Weibo tweeted on September 21 to especially thank Adam Smasher for giving players a reason to return to the Night City.

Data showed that the number of concurrent players for Cyberpunk: 2077 has risen since the airing of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and set a new high for concurrent players at 85,555, the highest since 2077’s release period.
Although the raised number of concurrent players was probably due to a list of reasons (New DLC, Steam discount, v1.6 patch, etc.), Adam Smasher could also be responsible for that.
