Spikewave Games' sci-fi strategic stealth game Evotinction has released its latest trailer, "RED," on PlayStation China Hero Project Showcase today. The game has opened its Steam Store page and is expected to be released in 2023.
Extinction tells the story of a high-tech world in the near future, where extremely developed artificial intelligence has filled up every corner of society. However, a mysterious virus from the AI research institution HERE has infected most of the AIs in the world and turned the guns to their masters.
In the game, players will play as Thomas Liu, supervisor of the HERE, to fight against the rampaging AI machines with various unique weapons and technologies. As more equipment is unlocked, players will eventually find the truth of the virus and its conspiracies.
Since Thomas Liu didn't receive military training, Evotinction focuses more on stealth gameplay. Players must use high-tech equipment to avoid the mutinous AIs and destroy them without being noticed. This includes remote hacking, electromagnetic interference, holographic projection, virus implantation, enemy identification overwriting, etc.
