Popular Video platform Bilibili has invested in Chinese indie game developer Rocket Punch Games with a 12.5% stake and become the second-largest shareholder of the studio, according to Qichacha, an enterprise data platform.
After this round of investment, the registered capital of Rocket Punch Games has increased to 1.67 million yuan (~262,835 USD) from 1.46 million yuan.
Focused on console games, six-year-old Rocket Punch Games is the developer behind Hardcore Mecha, a stylish 2D side-scrolling action game released on Steam in June 2019.
In the game, the player can take control of Tarethur, a mercenary charged with the task of finding a missing intelligence officer on Mars.
Hardcore Mecha was supported by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s China Hero Project.
