According to its official website, Netflix will release a new mobile game adaptation from Exploding Kittens on the streamer in May this year and an adult animated comedy series in 2023.
This is the first time the streamer will launch a video game and a series from the same franchise.
The mobile game will see players draw cards and avoid the Exploding Kittens, and the game will have both single and multiplayer modes. In the meantime, there will be two new exclusive cards, Radar, which reveals to players the position of the Exploding Kitten closest to the top of the card deck, and Flip Flop, which reverses the order of the cards in the deck.

Tom Ellis and Lucy Liu will star in the animated series. In the TV series titled Exploding Kittens, “the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth - in the bodies of chunky house cats.”
The game Exploding Kittens was a project on Kickstarter in 2015 when it raised 8.7 million USD in 30 days from 219,000 backers, while its initial goal was 10,000 USD. The game came to iOS and Android in 2016 and landed on Switch in 2021.
