The long-awaited trailer for David Fincher's new thriller, "The Killer," has dropped, providing a glimpse into the enigmatic plot. Starring Michael Fassbender and Charles Parnell, this neo-noir flick follows an assassin on the edge of unraveling. The narrative draws from a French graphic novel series by Alexis Nolent and boasts a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker, who also penned Fincher's "Fight Club."

Joining the lead pair are Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, and Sophie Charlotte. The film is set to hit select theaters on October 28 and will be available for streaming on Netflix from November 10. This marks another collaboration between Fincher and Netflix, following projects like "House of Cards," "Mindhunter," and "Mank."

Originally, Paramount Pictures secured the rights to "The Killer" back in 2007, with Fincher announced as the director. Nolent, writing under the pseudonym Matz, mentioned that his graphic novel explores the hitman's psyche and actions in a "nonjudgmental way."

As for the cast, Fassbender returns to acting after a hiatus since 2019, having dabbled in autoracing since 2017. Parnell, on the other hand, was recently seen in 2022’s “Top Gun: Maverick” and the TV series "Barry."
