RNG defeated TES in a gruesome 3:2 series yesterday in the LPL Spring Grand Finals. RNG Bin earned the Finals MVP Award. Meanwhile, RNG will represent the LPL to compete for the championship at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
In detail, in game one of the series, the First Blood took place near the pit of Rift Herald when TES Mark was killed at nine minutes. At 22 minutes, Wayward on Irelia was ganked by Xiaohu, Bin, and Ming from RNG. Soon after this, a team fight happened in the mid lane, and RNG killed three champions of TES while losing two, securing victory in this round.
RNG Gala won the MVP Award for game one of the series.
In round two, RNG continued its momentum. At four minutes, RNG Bin on Gnar killed TES Wayward. Nine minutes later, TES Tian killed RNG Gala, TES JackeyLove also killed RNG Ming, and RNG’s first bot lane tower was destroyed. But at 22 minutes, RNG killed Baron and three champions from TES. Soon after this, RNG tried to gank their opponents but lost four winners in a related team fight while killing only one. Despite the ups and downs, RNG won this round at 38 minutes.
In round three, RNG Bin on Vex achieved a triple kill in the beginning. At 25 minutes, because of the disadvantage for Golds, RNG lost four champions while killing two, and TES destroyed RNG’s first tower in the mid lane, and TES successfully bounced back.
In the next round, at 22 minutes, RNG stole a Dragon, but TES killed two champions from RNG while losing only one. Soon after this, RNG’s Card Master tried to kill a winner from TES but got a counter-kill, and TES won this round.
In the decisive last game, four champions from TES achieved a turret dive kill at six minutes. Eleven minutes later, RNG was thwarted in their attempt to kill a Dragon but successfully killed four champions from TES while only losing two. At 36 minutes, RNG aced TES and won the Finals.
