Nintendo Has Sold 107.65 Million Switch Consoles

According to the latest yearly financial report, Nintendo’s sales of Switch consoles top 107.65 million since its launch in March 2017.

However, the unit sales for the entire Nintendo Switch family declined by 20.0% year-on-year to 23.06 million units. This decline was affected by the continued shortages of semiconductor components and other parts.

The report also shows the company’s net sales for the past fiscal year, which ended March 31st, sat at 1,695.3 billion yen. It was a decline of 3.6%. Meanwhile, its operating profit declined by 7.5% to 592.7 billion yen.

Nintendo’s software sales reached 822.18 million. In this report, Nintendo released the sales for several recent games.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus had globally sold over 11.4 million units in the ten weeks since its release on January 28th. Kirby and the Forgotten Land, released on March 25th, saw its sales surpass 2.1 million units in the first two weeks, significantly exceeding the initial sales of Kirby Star Allies (released for Nintendo Switch in 2018).

Nintendo also mentioned that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is scheduled to launch in Spring 2023.
