The principal of China Jiliang University warned students that “online games are the most severe drugs in campus life” in a speech during the university’s opening ceremony.
“Every year, 90% of the students, whose school roll registrations are canceled, are due to games, and 100% of them are not worthy of sympathy,” principal Xu Jiangrong said, following his first claim.
In his speech, Xu noted that thinking “‘Entering into the university means a relaxing life’ is a serious misjudgment of university study” and that“The primary task of university study is to correct the exam-oriented study that seeks standard answers.”
