On August 16th, a player posted on social media saying “the kid I met in the Aobi Island is so cute”.
Aobi Island: Dreamland is a casual online social game with quite a bit of history. The game has a huge player base who are fond of casual playstyle, collecting outfits, and making friends. These features make the game popular among very young players.
The player posted several screenshots of the chat between them and the kid. The screenshots had been carefully edited to protect the personal info of both sides. The kid was very polite and couldn’t hide her joy about having a friend in the game. They greeted each other when they were both online and said a proper goodbye before leaving.
Some screenshots of the chats show the kid has treated their friendship very important.
After making an appointment to play together at 3 o’clock the next day, the kid soon added “it should be 3 P.M. not 3 A.M.”, worrying her friend may misunderstand and stay up late.
The screenshot of the player profile shows the kid introduced herself as “a rookie who is very good at study”, and will offer help to others “if you have trouble on any quiz”.
The player commented on social media that their heart is about to melt by the kindness and friendliness of the kid. In one screenshot, the kid said she will take a photo for this moment since the player is “the first best friend I made in the game”. She also promised, “I will keep remembering you deep in my heart even if you quit playing the game one day”.
The post soon got 3.6K likes, and many people commented about how they were touched by the kid’s naivety and cute.
