FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) released its new roster on December 18th, where ADC Lwx (Lin Weixiang) was the only player signing an extension of their contract with the team.

The new lineup for the 2022 season includes top laner xiaolaohu, jungler Beichuan, mid laner Gori, ADCs Lwx and jiang, and supports Hang and Lele.

FPX won the 2019 League of Legends World Championship, but unfortunately, it earned only three second places in competitions last year. In the 2021 Spring Playoffs, it lost the game to RNG in the final; In the 2021 Summer Playoffs, it was defeated by EDG in the last; In the recent Demacia Cup, they missed being champion again after being taken down by TES with a 2:3 match.

FPX’s Worlds 2021 campaign wasn’t favorable, either. They were eliminated in the group stage despite being the favorites to take the tournament, according to Dot Esports.
