Faker Became The First Player to Play 100 World Games

In the match with Cloud 9 in League of Legends Worlds 2022 Group Stage, the legendary Korean mid-laner, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, became the first pro player to have played 100 Worlds games on the League of Legends stage.

In his 100th game, Faker dominated mid-lane with Lissandra, while also assisting his bot lane teammate with an impressive quadra kill.

Being one of the most persuasive GOAT in LoL history, Faker also holds an impressive win rate in his Worlds game record. While being on the most competitive Worlds stage, he racked up 72 winning games across seven Worlds appearances and won three world championships.

In addition to Faker's record-setting 100 appearances, the current World Series record is followed by Perkz's 86 games, Jensen's 83 games, Impact's 80 games, and Deft's 76 games. Faker said in an interview after the 100th game of the World Series that he felt grateful, especially because he won the 100th game.
